Mt Barker Regional Aquatic and Leisure Centre

CLOVER is the Landscape Architect working closely with project Architect, council and the consultant team on this vitally important project for the region. Mount Barker is experiencing exponential growth with a demand for upgrades to major infrastructure and community facilities. We undertook a rigorous assessment of the landscape values and character of this breathtaking site to ensure that these natural qualities are retained and are integral to the user experience. This includes a collaborative masterplanning process to locate the building and shape access and car parking areas. Key elements were storm-water treatment and infiltration, protection and retention of existing Red Gums, focusing key view of Mount Barker Summit and the surrounding rural landscape and considering connections and linkages to future stages. We are excited to see this project evolve over the next 5 years.
