Craig Lovering

Director

Craig is a Registered Landscape Architect with over 23 years experience working in private practice (19 years) in South Australia, Queensland, Western Australia and the Northern Territory as well as in local government (4 years) with the City of Adelaide. Craig is passionate about living and working in the Adelaide Hills supporting local businesses (wineries) and rural communities.

Craig has worked in a variety of environments, climates, cultures and communities to broaden his understanding of Landscape Architecture, Urban Design and the shaping of spaces.

Sectors include Main Street Upgrades, Civic, Parks and Open Space, Defence, Education, Strategic Projects, Green Walls / Roofs / Facades, Infrastructure, Masterplanned Communities, Medium / High-Density Housing and Visual Assessment.

Craig resides in the Adelaide Hills with his wife Tania who also has a local small business and a growing menagerie of animals.

Aylwen Dennis

Associate

Aylwen is a Registered Landscape Architect with a strong focus on environmentally responsive design and a passion for the creation of engaging, sustainable landscape forms which provide a platform for social interaction and emotional connection with place. She has a particular interest in inclusive design and creating places for play and community use. Joining Clover in late 2023, Aylwen is excited to bring her shared values to the Clover team.

With over 13 years of professional experience in private practice, Aylwen has worked on projects all over Australia in a range of collaborative settings. She has a keen interest in native plant design and ecologies, and skills across the spectrum of landscape areas and project types. Aylwen brings excellent attention to detail to all projects and enjoys working with clients to deliver best practice outcomes regardless of size or budget.

Aylwen lives in the Adelaide Hills and, when not at Clover, enjoys running a boutique bed and breakfast with her partner on their Lobethal property as well as spending time with their 2 children in the Hills or with family on the Fleurieu Peninsula.

Natalie Wandless

Senior Landscape Architect

Natalie brings to the Clover team ten years of landscape experience across a broad variety of projects from the education, health, defence, and civic realms through to park lands, streetscapes, linear trails, transport, urban gardens and rooftops, residential developments as well as across large parks and reserves. Being mentored within an experienced team of landscape architects saw her flourish into an accomplished designer and diligent project manager.

After a break from the landscape field and a decade spent working across many facets of the wine industry, Natalie has returned to landscape architecture joining the Clover team in July 2023.

Natalie loves the variety experienced from one day to the next within her current role. She’s dedicated to delivering site specific solutions evolved through collaboration and a thorough understanding of site context, community, culture, local conditions and exploring creative possibilities. She loves the sense of satisfaction in seeing a project through from a seed of an idea into the culmination of a built space with community interacting and living within the design.

A local to the Adelaide Hills, Natalie loves weekends spent in the outdoors with her family.

Shelley Black

Senior Landscape Architect

Shelley is passionate about layering stories and systems within the landscape to create a meaningful narrative, whether that be natural systems (water, ecology etc) or cultural stories.

Shelley has been working as Landscape Architect for over 7 years and has had a wide range of experience delivering projects both here in South Australia and in Victoria. Experience spanning from re-vegetation and wetlands to high-rise inner city mixed-use, recreation, education, streetscapes, parks and playgrounds taking projects from concept to construction.

Originally from rural South Australia along the River Murray and after 5 years in Melbourne she now lovingly calls the Barossa home with her partner and daughter.

Niveta Chawla

Landscape Architect

In 2019, Niveta ventured to Adelaide from India for her master’s in Landscape Architecture, to experience, learn and grow within the Australian Landscape.

She joined Clover in 2022 and has brought with her a diversity of experience in Architecture and Landscape to offer design, documentation and presentation support to the team. She has worked across education, aged care, streetscape and open space projects locally and overseas.

Niveta is an advocate for the profession and is currently volunteering as a Co-leader for the South Australian Institute of Landscape Architecture Fresh group. She is also actively involved in the Education Committee and the consulting committee for the AILA Festival 2023.

Reon Roberts

Graduate Landscape Architect

Reon joins Clover fresh from graduating from the University of Adelaide, where he was the winner of the prestigious Rodney Beames Award as the best student in the 2023 class. Reon will add to our documentation, graphics and 3D modelling resources.

Reon lives in the Adelaide Hills and is an avid hiker and gardener.

Tania Lovering

Office Manager

Tania joined the Clover team in 2024 with over 20 years’ experience in office liaison, management and human resources roles in Adelaide, Perth and Brisbane. Tania joins us after running her own retail business in the Adelaide Hills which has now moved online.

Covering all aspects of administration for the office and executive assistance to the Director, Tania takes pride in being across a wide range of responsibilities for Clover. Tania has extensive experience in high level recruitment, communications, graphics and in producing marketing material.

Tania is an Adelaide Hills local with husband Craig, and loves a local winery lunch on weekends, running her vintage wares business from home, and painting large canvases of blooms.

Amy Pfeiffer (on Maternity Leave)

Senior Associate

Amy is passionate about creating places and spaces which are not only timeless, comfortable and enjoyable but also rich in biodiversity, giving back to our environment and ensuring a more sustainable future. Our design responses should not only be cognisant of human interaction, but other living creatures also, and where possible.

Amy is a Registered Landscape Architect bringing 15 years of local SA experience to Clover. Amy joined the growing team in late 2021, embracing the opportunity to work and live within the Adelaide Hills and contribute to a community she is also part of. Since joining, Amy continues to build on her knowledge within the play space, recreation, sport and education sectors. Amy is also a strong communicator who believes in engagement led methodologies and projects which foster a collective vision and outcome.

Amy is an accomplished designer with exceptional plant knowledge responding to unique microclimates and site conditions. Amy has lived in the Adelaide Hills for many years and loves to unwind in her garden, as well as spend time with her family enjoying the many beautiful parks and gardens the hills offer.

Rebecca Connelly (on Maternity Leave)

Associate

Bec seeks to create contextual, regenerative and meaningful landscapes. Finding this ethos shared within Clover saw Bec eagerly join the team in mid-2021. This has seen her design experience broaden and strengthen across streetscape, education, playground and strategic projects.

Previously working for the City of Adelaide for 6 years, she was involved in the strategic shaping, design and delivery of projects in the city and Park Lands.

Bec is a Registered Landscape Architect and has been active within the AILA community since her graduate years. This has included SA Executive, SA Education Committee and recently as a National Jury Member for the 2022 AILA Awards.

Having adventured in international cities in her 20s, Bec now enjoys exploring places closer to home. Weekends are often spent in the Adelaide Hills, mid-north or Fleurieu with her husband and 3-year-old son.
