Dunstan Adventure Playground

CLOVER worked with the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters on the masterplan for the Dunstan Adventure Playground. This project was an opportunity for us to learn from and work with Kaurna Yerta Aboriginal Corporation (KYAC) to reflect the deep connection Kaurna people have with this landscape and remember their connection to Don Dunstan who during his time as a lawyer and politician worked to improve the rights of aboriginal people in Australia. The design considerations incorporated Kaurna knowledge and stories with adventurous play elements, local materials, and native plantings to work in with the challenging grade of site. Thought was given to the importance and connection of the nearby Karrawirra Parri (Torrens River) and its significance to people, plants and animals.
